Kris Mayo, Ph.D., LLP. obtained her doctorate degree from The Union Institute. She is the Director of Substance Abuse Services at The Counseling Centre, P.C. She has fourteen years experience in the field of chemical dependency treatment. Dr. Mayo has been instrumental in the development of treatment programming for dually diagnosed at the Center. She also coordinates the IOP services and is the liaison to the Waterford Sobriety Court.
Devon MacFarlane, MA.LLP., CAAC. is a graduate from The Center for Humanistic Studies. She has extensive training in substance abuse treatment and relapse prevention. She is the primary substance abuse facilitator for the ACE project and is instrumental in offering treatment services for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Joe Shoots, MA, LLP, CAC-1. Joe has 15 years of clinical experience and specializes in the treatment of addictions & domestic violence. He is profisient is DUI and other legal assessments. He is an ideal therapist for anyone who is struggling with the challenge of early recovery, relapse prevention and codependency. Joe is caring and compassionate to all clinical needs.
Carol Keidan, MA., LLP., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, has 24 years of experience in conducting marital and family therapy with couples and families. Ms. Keidan's experience includes working with alcoholic and drug-addicted clients and their families, and people who were raised in a addicted/dysfunctional families. Ms. Keidan a former clinical staff member at Square Lake Counseling Center.
Bruce Wendell, M.S.W., C.A.C. II obtained his graduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. He has eighteen years experience in the treatment of addictive disorders. He has extensive training in relapse prevention, co-occurring disorders and male specific recovery program.
Patricia Tattrie, PsyD, LLP, graduated from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. She is currently a doctoral candidate while also working towards credentialing as a certified addictions counselor. Patsy has numerous years of clinical experience and specializes in multiple issues, including substance abuse, sex addiction and psychological testing. Patsy works with probation officers and with clients appealing to the DMV for reinstatement of suspended licenses. She is the facilitator of the educational substance abuse group working with adolescents as well as adults. Patsy provides services for people with other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety with specific focus towards the LGBT community, men and women in midlife transitions, children and adolescents.
Joni Lipson, MA, LLP, CAAC, graduated from Michigan School of Professional Psychology with a Masters degree in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology. Joni chair's a women's support group & specializes in the treatment of substance abuse, mental health and co-occurring disorders. Joni is currently obtaining a post-graduate specialization degree in couples and family counseling. Joni also has special interest in working with individuals dealing with codependency and life transition issues.
Margaret Tippen, MA, LLP, LMSW, CAC-1, graduated from Merrill Palmer/ Wayne State University with a masters degree in Psychology. Margaret has 25 Years experience and specializes in the treatment of adults, children, adolescents, and families. She also specializes in Anxiety, ADHD, Mood Disorders, Relationship Issues, Step-family Issues, Chronic Mental Illness and Stress Management.
Carole Gallant, LMSW, ACSW, graduated from The University of Michigan with a masters degree in Social Work. Carole has 14 years of clinical experience and specializes in the treatment of adults and children. She also specializes in mental illness, depression, anxiety, and ADHD.

Dunia Karana, PhD, LLP, in a clinical psychologist who has earned her doctorate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Karana has extensive training and experience in providing individual, family and group psychotherapy. She specializes in treating depression and anxiety, utilizing various therapeutic techniques. She is also an active researcher, where she is a co-author of several articles published in scientific journals. Her active research interests include depressive personality, domestic violence and physical health. Dr. Karana has also extensive training in psychological assessments for children and adults, including psychological testing and assessments, along with court, legal issue, and ADHD evaluations.
